Vanatehnika Lustisõit – July 15th
Historic Vehicles and Traditions at the Vanatehnika Lustisõit
Classic cars are deeply connected to heritage and tradition. This spirit lives on through Vanatehnika Lustisõit, an event that has been running uninterrupted for 20 years and this year marks the beginning of its 21st season.
The success of Vanatehnika Lustisõit depends on the contribution of every participant — first, by attending with a suitable historic vehicle; second, by acting respectfully toward others; and third, by helping ensure that we always have pleasant destinations to drive to.
As participation numbers grew this year, several changes were considered — from significantly raising the age limit of eligible vehicles, to allowing only cars with black license plates, or even canceling some drives altogether. However, it was decided to continue the event in its usual format.
Participation Rules for 2025:
- Time: From May to September, on the third Tuesday evening of each month
- Location: Gathering at Autosõit OÜ skid track, Karjääri tee 5, Männiku village
- Schedule: Gathering from 18:00, departure around 19:30
- Vehicles: Properly maintained and technically sound cars that are at least 35 years old. Starting this year, the production year requirement is frozen indefinitely – vehicles manufactured no later than 1990 may participate. Exceptions are made for historically significant vehicles or by prior arrangement with the organizers.
The July 15th drive concluded with a tour of our Benefit restoration workshop. The turnout was impressive – 132 classic cars and nearly 250 people were counted in Männiku. We at Benefit were well prepared, and thanks to the wonderful company, the evening went smoothly with conversations lasting late into the night.
We are sincerely grateful to all visitors, Indrek Sirk for organizing, Sergei Zjuganov for the photos, and our own team for welcoming guests and conducting the workshop tour.
The next – and final – drive of the season will take place on September 16th.
